During “The Future of World-Building” at SXSW in Texas, Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, and Alan Bergman, Co-Chairman of Disney Entertainment, announced that the BDX Droids will be coming to several Disney parks later this year.
The droids will debut at Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and Walt Disney World later this year. In Disneyland Paris, the droids are expected to arrive later this year, with more details to be shared at a later time.
In Disneyland California, the BDX Droids previously appeared in the Star Wars-themed area “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” at Disneyland Park. The droids will also be featured in the upcoming film “The Mandalorian and Grogu”, set to release in May 2026.
SXSW is an annual event held every March in Austin, Texas. It covers various sectors, including music, film, and technology. Attendees can enjoy inspiring keynotes, musical and comedy performances, and exclusive film screenings and premieres.
