Disney Unveils New Concept Art for the Lion King land at Disneyland Paris
To celebrate the 33rd anniversary of Disneyland Paris, Disney has released new concept art of the upcoming Lion King land, which will be part of Disney Adventure World.
Although construction on this new Lion King themed area in Disney Adventure World (Walt Disney Studios Park) has yet to begin, Disney shared new visuals today. These were presented by Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris, and Michel den Dulk, Vice President and Portfolio Executive Creative Director at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, during a presentation in STUDIO D.
The updated concept art clearly confirms again that the attraction and surrounding area will be based on the iconic Lion King animated movie, rather than the live-action version.

The first interior image of the attraction released by Disney features familiar characters such as Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa. The scene instantly evokes the fan-favorite song Hakuna Matata.
The second piece of concept art closely resembles the image shown at D23, depicting the exterior of the water attraction and a portion of the themed area. This updated version features the animated version of Simba atop the Pride Lands.

In 2026, the Walt Disney Studios Park will officially transform into Disney Adventure World, with new additions including World of Frozen, Rapunzel’s Tangled Spin, a new Up attraction, and more.
Lion King in Disneyland Paris:
The Lion King has been a fan favorite at Disneyland Paris for many years and has appeared in numerous parades and shows, including the spectacular stage production The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands at the Frontierland Theater. It is therefore likely that this new addition will become an immensely popular attraction at the French Disney Resort.
