Near the Tower of Terror, two new projects have been started to transform the attraction’s queue and the former FastPass location.
Disney had previously announced plans to add more covered areas in the parks to improve the experience for both guests and cast members. One of these ongoing projects involves the construction of a new covered terrace at Casey’s Corner on Main Street, allowing guests to enjoy their meals during bad weather. Right next to it, a new kiosk has also been added for meet & greets with Disney characters.

There had also been plans to cover the queue of Peter Pan’s Flight in Fantasyland, but it now appears that Disney has begun work on covering the Tower of Terror queue instead.
A temporary queue has been set up in Production Courtyard, allowing the rose garden queue to be cleared for construction work. The attraction remains open during construction.

Some trees have also been removed as part of the preparatory work. It remains unclear when the project will be completed.

New shop at former FastPass distribution point
The former FastPass location, where guests could obtain Tower of Terror fastpass tickets before the pandemic, is now fully surrounded by construction walls. This is in preparation for the transformation of the area into a small-scale shop. The shop will be located along the route that, starting in 2026, thousands of guests will use daily to walk via Adventure Way to Adventure Bay and World of Frozen.

The structure of the boutique will be completely renovated inside and out. The Imagineers have opted for a design inspired by 1930s Hollywood, to harmoniously match World Premiere Plaza and the art deco style of the theater district. Disney expects the new shop to open by the end of 2025.
