During our recent visit to Disneyland Paris, we noticed some exciting progress on the long-awaited renovation of Au Chalet de la Marionnette, the beloved restaurant in Fantasyland. The large construction scaffolding that once dominated the area is beginning to disappear, revealing glimpses of the restaurant’s refreshed look. This is great news for fans and visitors, as it signals significant progress in the major refurbishment project underway.

The renovation of Au Chalet de la Marionnette is part of a broader initiative to repair and restore all the roofs and shingles across Fantasyland—particularly the buildings surrounding the Carrousel. Over time, these roofs suffered extensive damage, making this project essential to preserving the charm and safety of the area.

As one of the largest buildings in Fantasyland requiring restoration, Au Chalet de la Marionnette has had a substantial visual impact on the land due to the massive scaffolding. Additionally, the restaurant’s closed appearance may have temporarily affected visitor numbers, but the ongoing work promises a much-improved experience once complete.
Following the completion of Sir Mickey Boutique, which took nearly a year, it appears the work at Au Chalet de la Marionnette is progressing at a slightly faster pace. This bodes well for the next phase of renovations, which will focus on the buildings housing the Pinocchio and Snow White attractions, as well as the roofs near the entrance of Auberge de Cendrillon—areas that are currently in the worst condition.

We look forward to seeing the final results and the continued restoration efforts that will help keep Fantasyland as magical as ever at Disneyland Paris.
