Paint the Night Parade returns to a Disney Park for the first time since the Pandemic!
We’ve waited a long time, but Paint the Night, the dazzling electrical parade, is finally back in a Disney park for the first time since the pandemic!
There are two versions of this parade worldwide — one at Disneyland Resort in California and one at Hong Kong Disneyland. In California, the parade appeared during special occasions, including the resort’s 60th anniversary when it made its debut there, and later during Pixar Fest at Disney California Adventure Park.
As part of the entertainment lineup for the 70th anniversary of Disneyland Resort, Paint the Night has finally returned to Disneyland Park in California. Meanwhile, Disney California Adventure Park is featuring the daytime parade Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration. While there’s no daytime parade in Disneyland Park, guests can still enjoy the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade featuring Mickey and friends, the Disney Princesses, Duffy & ShellieMay, and many other classic Disney characters.

A Modern Classic
As night falls, guests can find a spot along the parade route to witness a truly magical experience. Paint the Night is a modern, high-energy successor to the beloved Main Street Electrical Parade, known for its stunning light effects, dynamic choreography, and cutting-edge technology.
The parade features over 1.5 million colorful LED lights, all dancing in sync with the music, delivering a breathtaking visual performance packed with beloved Disney and Pixar characters.
Throughout the parade, Disney stories come to life through lights, music, and immersive effects — with appearances from Peter Pan, Monsters Inc., Cars, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story, Frozen, and a grand finale led by Mickey & his friends.

Special Anniversary Additions
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Disneyland Resort, a few special additions have been made:
- The opening float has been redesigned with a special anniversary look (on screen).
- The Frozen float, featuring Anna, Elsa, and Olaf, has returned to the lineup.
- The new theme song “Celebrate Happy”, created for the 70th anniversary, has been added to the finale.

Unfortunately, the Incredibles float, originally created for the Pixar Fest version of Paint the Night, is not included this time.
A Must-See during the Anniversary:

This parade is truly one of the highlights of the anniversary celebrations and an absolute must-see for anyone wanting to experience Disney magic at its most radiant.
Paint the Night lasts approximately 20–25 minutes and follows a route that begins at it’s a small world, moves through Fantasyland and Main Street, U.S.A., and then returns from Main Street, U.S.A. to Fantasyland for a second performance each day.
The Disneyland Resort 70th anniversary will run from May 16, 2025, through summer 2026 (exact end date to be announced). Throughout the anniversary, guests can look forward to festive decorations, exclusive merchandise, themed food and beverage offerings, live entertainment across both Disney parks, and more.
