?? De drukke eindejaarsperiode is voorbij en het laagseizoen is aangebroken. En dat betekend dat er opnieuw enkele attracties gesloten worden voor onderhoud of veranderingen. Vooral de Walt Disney Studios krijgen het hard te verduren met heel wat gesloten attracties en theaters, waardoor er nog minder te doen is in het park dan tijdens gewone dagen.
In het Disneyland Park valt het nog mee. Hier is natuurlijk Phantom Manor nog gesloten, da’s uitzonderlijk en was niet de bedoeling. Daarnaast zijn ook de Riverboats in Frontierland momenteel dicht en is het ook nog altijd wachten op het nieuwe Chaparral Theater. Daarbij is ook het restaurant Cowboy Cookout bijna constant gesloten waardoor Frontierland bijna een dood stukje Disneyland Park lijkt. Alleen Big Thunder Mountain en de nieuwe meet & greet met Mickey Mouse bij Phantom Manor kan misschien nog wat volk naar dit gedeelte trekken.
In Adventureland en Discoveryland zijn er weinig sluitingen te zien, behalve hier en daar een restaurant. En ook Autopia, die een langere en grotere renovatieperiode ondergaat.
In Fantasyland is momenteel, net zoals altijd tijdens deze periode, Casey Jr. & Le Pays de Contes de Fées gesloten. Het Pirates & Princesses Festival moet voor wat meer leven in het Disneyland Park zorgen eind deze maand. Ook de Disneyland Railroad kan geen ritje rond het park maken door de constructie van het nieuwe Chaparral Theater en blijft ook daarom nog een tijdje gesloten.
Het Walt Disney Studios Park daarentegen, daar valt wel heel weinig te beleven. Alleen in combinatie met het Disneyland Park kan je nog best een leuke tijd hebben, maar mensen die een volledig dag willen spenderen in het park, gaan het minder naar hun zin hebben.
Hier zien we Art of Animation die definitief gesloten blijft en omringd is door een blauwe muur van schuttingen, wat ook niet echt mooi is. Daarnaast is ook Cars Race Rally voor maar liefst 10 maanden gesloten voor een zeer grote renovatie en ook Crush’s Coaster ontvangt momenteel geen gasten.
Daarnaast is Studio Tram Tour gesloten omdat het laagseizoen is, hier zijn er geen renovaties. En niet te vergeten zijn momenteel ook het Animagique Theater & Studio Theater niet in gebruik.
Het enige die voor wat compensatie zorgt is het Star Wars seizoen: Legends of de Force die volgende week begint. Maar behalve een show tijdens de dag en een mooie avondshow brengt dat weinig extra’s met zich mee.

The Walt Disney Studios in particular are hit hard with a lot of closed attractions and theaters, so there is even less to do in the park than during normal days.

The only thing that compensates is the Star Wars season: Legends of the Force that starts next week. But besides a show during the day and a beautiful evening show, this season doesn’t bring much extra’s to the park.
