Vanaf 1 april 2019 is de poppenshow “Disney Junior Live On Stage” definitief gesloten. 10 jaar geleden opende deze show/attractie, tijdens het seizoen “Mickey’s Magical Party”, als “Playhouse Disney Live On Stage”. Deze attractie was ook al te vinden in Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World en in Disney’s California Adventure in Disneyland.
De tv-zender Playhouse Disney werd een tijd geleden veranderd in Disney Junior waardoor ook de attracties in de parken de nieuwe naam “Disney Junior Live on Stage” kregen. In de Amerikaanse parken ging deze naamsverandering gepaard met enkele nieuwe scène zoals Princess Sofia the First en Jake & the Neverland Pirates. Helaas werd dit niet doorgevoerd in Disneyland Paris en kregen we hier 10 jaar dezelfde show te zien met oa. The Little Einsteins.
Intussen zijn alle andere “Disney Junior Live On Stage” shows vervangen door een Disney Junior Dance Party. Enkele weken geleden pas opende deze nieuwe beleving nog zijn deuren in Walt Disney World. Of deze “Disney Junior Dance Party” ook in Disneyland Paris zal komen is nog niet duidelijk. Voorlopig ziet het er naar uit dat deze sluitingen te maken hebben met het grote uitbreidingsplan van het Walt Disney Studios Park die stilaan zal beginnen.
Het is ook nog niet duidelijk wat er met “Art of Disney Animation” zal gebeuren die onlangs ook definitief zijn deuren heeft gesloten. Misschien een herlocatie van Disney Junior maar dan de Dance Party zoals in de Amerikaanse parken. Er zijn ook geruchten die spreken over een soort preview center, om bezoekers te informeren tijdens de grote werken, over de nieuwe attracties die komende jaren in het Walt Disney Studios Park zouden komen.

It is also unclear what will happen to “Art of Disney Animation” that has recently closed its doors. Maybe a relocation of Disney Junior but then the Dance Party like in the American parks. There are also rumors that speak of a kind of preview center, to inform visitors during the major works, about the new attractions that would come to the Walt Disney Studios Park in the coming years.
