?? To honor the 90th Anniversary of Mickey Mouse, Disneyland Paris welcomes the attraction Mickey’s Philharmagic into the Discoveryland Theater in the Disneyland Park. This 4-D attraction can already be found in some other Disney Parks such as the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, but is now also open for guests at Disneyland Paris. Be sure to check it out during your visit, and discover the wonder of Disney Animation and Disney music with some of your favorite Disney Characters and story’s from The Little Mermaid or Aladdin during a crazy adventure with Donald Duck or are you here for Tinker Bell?
Of course there are differences with this version than the original version like in Walt Disney World. Firstly, this theater was not specially made to show this 4D film so many effects from the original film are missing, such as water or smell effects. This theater can make vibrations since this is old effect that was used during the former Honey, I Shrunk the Audience attraction.
The screen here in Disneyland Paris is much smaller which is almost the biggest disadvantage, because this gives a much less fun experience. But a positive note is that the projections and 3D effects here are much sharper and better as the film was digitally restored for Disneyland Paris.
It is always better that there is something to see in the Discoveryland theater than it is closed. But visitors to Disneyland Paris do not see Mickey’s PhilharMagique at all as it should be seen.

Uiteraard zijn er verschillen met deze versie dan de originele versie zoals in Walt Disney World. Ten eerste werd dit theater niet speciaal gemaakt om deze 4D-film te vertonen waardoor veel effecten uit de originele film ontbreken zoals bijvoorbeeld water- of geureffecten. Dit theater kan wel trillingen maken aangezien dit nog een effect is dat werd gebruikt tijdens de oude attractie Honey, I Shrunk the Audience.
Ook het scherm is hier in Disneyland Paris veel kleiner wat bijna het grootste nadeel is, want dit zorgt voor een veel minder leuke ervaring. Maar een positieve noot is wel dat de projecties en 3D effecten hier veel scherper en beter zijn aangezien de film digitaal gerestoreerd werd voor Disneyland Paris.
Het is altijd beter dat er iets te zien is in het Discoveryland theater dan dat het gesloten is. Maar de bezoekers in Disneyland Paris krijgen Mickey’s PhilharMagique helemaal niet te zien zoals hij moet gezien worden.
