?? Uit de lijst van best bezochte waterparken in Noord Amerika in 2018 blijkt dat de waterparken van Walt Disney World meer bezoekers hebben gekregen dat van concurrent Universal.
Het waterpark van Universal ‘Volcano Bay’ die in 2017 werd geopend kreeg alle aandacht van pretparkenfans over de hele wereld en even bleken de waterparken van Disney wat in de schaduw te drijven. Maar niets is minder waar. Beide Disney Water Parken staan nog altijd op nummer 1 en 2, gevolgd door Volcano Bay op de 3de plaats.
Met beiden Disney waterparken samen, gingen er in Walt Disney World meer dan dubbel zoveel mensen naar een waterpark dan gasten van Universal.

Zowel Walt Disney World als Universal liggen in Orlando, Florida. Universal krijgt veel aandacht door zijn grote uitbreidingsdrang om zo nog beter te kunnen concurrenen met het veel grotere Walt Disney World. Maar daarmee scoort Universal niet altijd beter, ook de twee gewone themaparken ‘Universal Studios’ en ‘Islands of Adventure’, die beide grote Harry Potter uitbreidingen kregen, zitten ver achter de Disney Parken. Het beste park van Universal ‘Universal Studios’ kreeg ongeveer 10 miljoen bezoekers daarentegen kreeg het beste park van Disney ‘Magic Kingdom’ maar liefst 20 miljoen bezoekers.

The Universal ‘Volcano Bay’ water park, which opened in 2017, received big attention of amusement park fans all over the world and for a moment the Disney water parks turned out to be somewhat in the shade. But nothing is less true. Both Disney Water Parks are still number 1 and 2, followed by Volcano Bay in 3rd place.
With both Disney water parks together, more than twice as many people went to a water park in Walt Disney World than Universal.

Both Walt Disney World and Universal are located in Orlando, Florida. Universal gets a lot of attention because of its great urge to expand so that it can compete even better with the much larger Walt Disney World. But Universal does not always score better with that, the two regular theme parks ‘Universal Studios’ and ‘Islands of Adventure’, both of which were given major Harry Potter expansions, are far behind the Disney Parks. The best park of Universal ‘Universal Studios’ received around 10 million visitors, on the other hand, the best park of Disney ‘Magic Kingdom’ received no less than 20 million visitors.
