On 26 March 2017, Disneyland Paris started its 25th anniversary with unique Disney characters, Caterine Powell (Euro Disney SCA CEO), Bob Chapek (President of Disney Parks & Resorts) and a number of children.
At the launch of this event we received the debut of Stars On Parade, Disney Illuminations, Mickey Presents: Happy Anniversary Disneyland Paris, The Starlit Princess Waltz and a large number of refurbished and updated attractions such as Star Tours: The Adventure Continue and the Star Wars Hyperspace overlay for Space Mountain.
Here a number of years of work was done under the name “Project Sparkle”
This was to put Disneyland Park in the spotlight on “12 April” the day that Disneyland Paris opened its doors for the first time 25 years ago for the general public.
It was also soon made clear that Disneyland Paris is far from ready to give love to its resort and launches the “DLP2020” project with the Marvel overlay for Hotel New York, the renovation of the Disneyland Hotel and several renovations for attractions such as Phanton Manor:
Attractions
Over the years, the Disneyland Park has not invested much in new attractions and trips to the Walt Disney Studios park. We have received a large-scale update of the most interesting projects with the projects “Project Sparkle” and DLP2020 with results.
However, most of the attractions have received a large-scale update, often with many new effects, through the projects “Project Sparkle” and DLP2020.
Phanton Manor is the next attraction that will soon open again with various refurbished scené’s and a number of changes.
Vincent Price will also be added to the attraction, this was the intention from the beginning but never made it.
There will also be new attractions, just after the end of the 25th anniversary celebrations Mickey’s PhilharMagic will open its doors in the Discoveryland theater.
There are also rumors that an Indiana Jones attraction will be added to the Adventureland.
For the Walt Disney Studios park plans have been published on 27 February 2018 the master plan was published.
Bob Iger (CEO Walt Disney Company) and Emmanuel Macron (French President) announced that Disney is going to invest 2 billion in Disneyland Paris with a grand expansion plan:
Between 2020 and 2025 there will be 3 new theme zones from Marvel, Star Wars and Frozen, with a large lake in the middle of the park that will serve for entertainment.
At the Fandaze event, Disney imaginary Tom Fitzgerald released a few small details:”Elsa’s ice palace will be the eye-catcher that lures you further into the park, towards the lake, which in this case is actually the Disney castle.”
“However, there is no standard Main Street with cottages, but a beautiful garden that leads to the large lake.”
“We are now making room so that the park can continue to grow in the future, and we have plenty of space for this, which is the first phase.”
However, D23 Japan has already announced that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will receive an Iron Man Overlay and that they will soon begin a complete makeover of the Backlot as part of the WDS expansion plan.

Shows & Seasons
The seasons at Disneyland Paris have now become fixed values. And there have been a lot of adjustments in the seasons such as the regular Christmas and Halloween seasons that have been given a complete make-over over the years with a large line-up of decorations, shows and parades and there is more to come!
The Lion King is ready to roar in a brand new musical stage show at Disneyland Paris in 2019.
Favored characters such as Simba, Nala, Timon and Pumbaa, along with the iconic songs and the classic story from the film, will come to life onstage for a brand new musical production based on The Lion King in a newly renovated Chaparral Theater in Disneyland Park.
The World’s Biggest Mouse Party “Unlock The Fun” at Disneyland®Paris

This Halloween season will return to the “Mickey’s Halloween Celebration” parade after having not finished the 25th anniversary of a year, a new float will be added this year.
The spring season also received a makeover that now goes through life as Festival: Pirates And Princesses that has done very well for the visitors and Caterine Powell (CEO Euro Disney SCA) has already announced that this season will also return.
As Season Of The Force and the newly launched season Marvel: Summer of Super heroes will return is not yet known.

Special Events
Electroland: The begin of these new events actually started at Electroland the mini “Tomorrowland” event that started last year with one evening and now has added a 2nd evening for the 2nd edition. With big DJ’s like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and phenomenon Robin Schulz on the event’s poster.
The tickets for this event were not very sold out and you could buy tickets with a special discount until the evening. Nevertheless, there were long lines for some Meet & Greets like the Disney Villains Alley where the waiting time was 2 hours.
You could also go to different presentations for a more price. For the first edition there were presentations about Duffy: The Disney Bear, Walt Disney Imagineering with Tom Fitzgerald and an interview with Caterine Powell (CEO Euro Disney SCA).
Despite the less positive ticket sales, there are rumors for a second edition next year.

New Years Eve: On 31 December 2017, Disneyland Paris is organizing a new event at the Disneyland Park to officially herald the new year. During the ‘New Year’s Eve Party’ the park will be open exclusively in the evening for visitors with a special ticket. The program includes extra entertainment, a unique parade and large fireworks at the castle.

Bij de launch van dit evenement kregen we het debuut van Stars On Parade,Disney Illuminations, Mickey Presents: Happy Anniversary Disneyland Paris, The Starlit Princess Waltz en een groot aantal van opgeknapte en geupdate attracties zoals Star Tours: The Adventure Continue en de Star Wars Hyperspace overlay voor Space Mountain. 
Hier werd een aantal jaren van te voor naar toe gewerkt onder de naam “Project Sparkle”
Ook werd er al snel duidelijk gemaakt dat Disneyland Parijs nog lang niet klaar is met liefde te geven aan haar resort en lanceert het “DLP2020” project met de Marvel overlay voor Hotel New York, de renovatie van het Disneyland Hotel en van meerdere attracties zoals Phanton Manor:
Attractions
Door de jaren heen heeft het Disneyland Park vooral niet veel geïnvesteerd in nieuwe attracties en gingen toevoegingen altijd naar het Walt Disney Studio’s park.
Wel hebben de meeste attracties door de projecten “Project Sparkle” en DLP2020 een grootschalige update gekregen met vaak vele nieuwe effecten.
Ook zal Vincent Price zijn stem toegevoegd worden aan de attractie, dit was al de bedoeling van in het begin maar heeft het nooit gehaald.

Shows & Seasons
De seizoenen in Disneyland Paris zijn tegenwoordig een vaste waarden geworden. En er zijn de afgelopen jaren veel aanpassingen gebeurt in de seizoenen zoals de vaste kerst en halloween seizoenen die een completen make-over gekregen hebben door de jaren heen met een grote line-up aan decoraties, shows en parades en er is meer op komst!
The Lion King is klaar om te brullen in een gloednieuwe muzikale show in Disneyland Parijs in 2019.

Dit Halloween seizoen zal de “Mickey’s Halloween Celebration” parade terugkeren na een jaar niet uitgereden te hebben door de 25ste verjaardag, ook komt er een nieuwe float dit jaar bij.
Ook het lente seizoen kreeg een make-over dat nu door het leven gaat als Festival:Pirates And Princesses dat het zeer goed heeft gedaan bij de bezoekers en Caterine Powell (CEO Euro Disney SCA) heeft alvast bekend gemaakt dat dit seizoen ook zal terug keren.

Ook zullen de special events georganiseerd worden
Waarbij we vroeger enkel een speciale Halloween soireé hadden is nu uitgegroeid met events zoals Electroland,de New Years Eve Party,Fandaze, Disney Loves Jazz en een heel aanbod aan Annuel Pass Holder Nights.
Fandaze(Nieuw):Het Event in 2018 waar Disney Fans misschien wel het hardst naar hebben uitgekeken met Max-live! Gettin’ Goofy With It,Dance Your DuckTales Parade,Oh My, Ortensia, vele Meet&Greets en the Farewell Parade.
De Tickets voor dit event waren belangen niet heel uitverkocht en je kon tot de avond zelf nog tickets kopen met speciale korting. Toch waren er lange rijen voor sommige Meet&Greets zoals bij de Disney Villains Alley waar de wachttijd 2 uur was.
Ook kon je voor een meer prijs naar verschillende presenties gaan kijken. Voor de eerste editie waren er presentaties over Duffy:The Disney Bear,Walt Disney Imagineering met Tom Fitzgerald en een interview met Caterine Powell (CEO Euro Disney SCA).
