?? Only a couple of months after the announcement of the biggest expansion ever for Disneyland Paris another Disney Park makes even a bigger announcement. Tokyo DisneySea, located in Tokyo Disney Resort will receive 4 new attractions, 3 new restaurants and a complete new Disney Hotel.
But is there also some news between the lines here for Disneyland Paris? Well there is one big similarity between the expansion for Tokyo DisneySea & Disneyland Paris and that’s is the big Frozen Land. We all know that a new Frozen area will come to the Walt Disney Studios Park but no more details were given of which attractions and/or restaurants will come with this new area.
It also seems like the construction of the expansion will go a lot faster in Tokyo DisneySea than it will go in Disneyland Paris. The new area’s in Tokyo would be ready in 2022, for Disneyland Paris this is 2025 or 2026.
That means that the Frozen land will first be developed for Tokyo DisneySea before it will build in Paris. It’s not unlikely that Walt Disney Imagineering will use the big investment from the Oriental Company, as they have to pay WD Imagineering for the new attractions, also to develop the new area’s in it’s own Disney Parks were Disneyland Paris is now part of. So I wouldn’t be surprised that the Frozen land in Disneyland Paris will be a copy of the one at Tokyo DisneySea as it’s much cheaper as the Oriental Land company already paid for the “Imagineering” part of the land.
We all expected a boat ride, same as in Epcot, and a new restaurant for the Frozen Land in Paris and this is exactly what Tokyo DisneySea will build.
An other familiar item in the Tokyo DisneySea expansion is Never Land area with a huge pirate ship and Skull Rock just like in Adventureland at Disneyland Paris.
?? Slechts enkele maanden na de aankondiging van de grootste uitbreiding ooit voor Disneyland Paris komt er een ander Disney Park met een nog grotere aankondiging. Tokyo DisneySea, deel van Tokyo Disney Resort, krijgt 4 nieuwe attracties, 3 nieuwe restaurants en een compleet nieuw Disney Hotel.
Maar is er tussen de lijntjes door ook wat nieuws over Disneyland Paris te vinden? Er is alvast een grote gelijkenis tussen de uitbreidingen in Tokyo Disney Sea & Disneyland Paris en dat is het Frozen gebied. We weten allemaal dat een nieuw Frozen land naar het Walt Disney Studios Park komt maar er werden nog geen details gegeven over de eventuele attracties en/of restaurants in dit nieuwe gebied.
Het ziet er ook naar uit dat de bouw van de uitbreidingen in Tokyo DisneySea een stuk sneller realiteit gaan worden dan in Disneyland Paris. De nieuwe gebieden in Tokyo zouden reeds klaar zijn in 2022, voor Disneyland Paris zou dit pas in 2025 of 2026 zijn.
Dat betekend dat het Frozen land eerst voor Tokyo DisneySea ontwikkeld zal worden vooraleer het gebouwd zal worden in Parijs. Het is niet onwaarschijnlijk dat Walt Disney Imagineering de grote investering van de Oriental Land Company, zij moeten WD Imagineering flink betalen voor het ontwikkelen van de nieuwe attracties, ook zal gebruiken voor het ontwikkelen van nieuw gebieden voor zijn eigen parken waar Disneyland Paris nu ook deel van uitmaakt. Dus ik zou totaal niet verrast zijn dat het Frozen Land in Disneyland Paris een kopie zal worden van de versie in Tokyo DisneySea, want dit is veel goedkoper als de Oriental Land Company alle ontwikkelingskosten al betaald heeft.
We verwachten allemaal een attractie met bootjes, naar het voorbeeld van Epcot, en een nieuw restaurant in het Frozen land in Disneyland Paris en dit is nu precies wat Tokyo DisneySea zal krijgen.
Een ander vertrouwd item in de Toko DisneySea uitbreidingen is het Never Land gebied met een groot piratenship en een Skull Rock net als in Adventureland in Disneyland Paris.
