The BDX Droids debuted in Disneyland Paris as part of the May The 4th 2025.
It has become an annual tradition for Disneyland Paris to celebrate Star Wars Day in Discoveryland, near the Star Tours and Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain attractions. However, this year Disney is surprising guests with a special mini event taking place in Disneyland Park, with entertainment, merchandise and more.
Guests can enjoy a new version of the Jedi Training Academy until May 24, and Ahsoka will make her first-ever appearance in Disneyland Paris — available to meet until May 11.

The most exciting addition to the event is likely the arrival of the BDX Droids. These advanced robots have previously appeared in other Disney Resorts, including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in California and Tokyo Disney Resort. In March 2025, Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, confirmed that the droids would also be coming to Disneyland Paris.
BDX Droids are high-tech robots equipped with LED-lit eyes, moving antennae, and speakers, allowing them to express emotions and interact with guests. They can dance and even navigate uneven terrain without losing their balance.

These droids offer a unique and interactive experience that truly brings the magic of Star Wars to life. In addition to their presence in the parks, the BDX Droids will also appear in the upcoming film The Mandalorian & Grogu, set for release in 2026.
The BDX Droids will be at Disneyland Paris until May 24. You can catch a short show on the stage near the Star Tours attraction. Before and after the show, they do a small walk from the Discoveryland train station entrance to the stage.
It’s always exciting to see how new technology developed by Walt Disney Imagineering finds its way to Disneyland Paris — even if just temporarily, as seen in 2023 when Project Exo was tested in Avengers Campus with a selfie spot featuring a giant Hulk.
